Important news!

Collection of no. 1 uniform for those involved in the MPNDP, will be on 13 July [Tuesday]. Please assemble in PE attire at the foyer at 2 p.m. The reserve for contingent commander is CLT Nadira who is also involved in YOG Parade.

NYAA (Bronze) Award - Elizabeth, Tifflin, Nerin, Zoe, Rachel, Laurel, Yingxuan and Karthi. They can consider applying for NYAA (Silver) this year.

CCA phototaking
is on 21 or 22 July. The date and time will be announced when it's confirmed. Please wear No. 4 uniform and beret. Felicia, please display our awards and banner.

Yvette and Cordell, please be in-charge of porch duty in Semester 2.

Year 2 cadets will be going to HQ for CPR Course on 3 July 2010. [Ma'am Chang i/c]

Visit to Tampines Fire Station is on 14 July and visit to Heritage Gallery is on 21 July. Consent forms will be issued later. Attire: No. 4 uniform and jockey cap. Assessments (Fire Safety) will be conducted at Tampines FS.

Presenters for LS Assembly talk on Emergency Preparedness: Umme Laila, Nahlah, Mallika, Huey Yiing, PK and Averyn. Nerin will prepare the powerpoint slides. All will get CEB hours. Those who participate in MPNDP, SMRT CEPP, Service Day and Emergency Preparedness Day on 30 October will also get CEB hours. Mr Lim will keep track of cadets' CEB hours, Ma'am Chang will keep track of cadets' CIP hours and Capt Lim will keep track of cadets' list of participation.

The tentative dates for Unit Camp: 29 Nov to 1 Dec 2010 in our school.

CCA sessions will be held on every Wednesday. We do not cancel any session unless that Wednesday falls on a public holiday and we stop 2 weeks before exams but will continue after that. We do not arrange for any CCA session during the holiday except for external events and HQ training courses.

Year 1 assessments: Campcraft on 7 July and Footdrill (Bronze) on 21 July.
Some Year 1 cadets will be selected to participate in school NDP this year. Next year, they will also be given the opportunity to participate in National Day Parade (national level) but they must attend all training sessions. Cadets who are sick, please pass a photostat copy of your MC to Capt Lim, original MC to your FT. We do not accept letters of excuse.

Looking forward to Marine Parade NDP (once in 5 years) and T3?

SCLT Natasha wants to conduct a footdrill rehearsal on 26 June in school from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Attire: half u (blue NCDCC t-shirt)

No one is indispensable. Reserves will be activated. Teachers will take turns to be present.

Welcome to Mr Lim Chin Min, who is the third NCDCC teacher-in-charge w.e.f. T3, 2010.

CCA session on 30 January will be held from 2.30 to 5.30 p.m. Attire: half u.
Marking of attendance will be taken at the parade ground next to Drama Centre.
Sec 3 cadets can come from 3.30 p.m. onwards (due to extended curriculum time for Upper Sec students w.e.f. Term 3) and will be deployed to conduct campcraft training to Year 1 cadets or assist Capt Lim in admin work.

CCA day may be changed to Saturday in 2011 due to our CLTs' timetable @Temasek Poly. Cadets will not have an excuse to say that they have forgetten to bring their uniform because they will have to wear the uniform from home or keep the uniform in the CCA storeroom.

Ma'am Chang will be planning CIP (Service Learning Project) in T3.

Capt Lim still prefers to collaborate with Changkat Changi SS due to our good working relationship that has developed over a period of more than 2 years. She has decided to let nature takes its course and does not wish to cause anyone unhappiness by requesting for a CLT from another school. The teachers will continue to persevere and conduct training sessions with the help of SNCOs and NCOs.
