Remark: Please pass the taxi receipt to Capt Lim the following week.

5. Congratulations to Jade (304) who has been promoted to SGT and Nadia (201) who has been promoted to CPL. Yvette and Irinie have been promoted to SSG. They have passed Footdrill (Gold), SANA, CD Knowledge, Crime Prevention and HAZMAT which are the necessary proficiency badges. Capt Lim has sent an email to inform HQ that another SNCO should also be promoted to SSG and to check whether there's any error in the footdrill gold assessment result for one of the SNCOs. Due to overwhelming response, Capt Lim could only nominate two SNCOs to attend the UDI Course in September. By conducting an internal survey among some cadets, the two SNCOs chosen are Cordell and Yvette. Two other SNCOs will be selected to be WOs so that there will be more opportunities for others to become future leaders. We also need to nominate at least one of our graduating students in 2012 to be future CLTs. We do need a CLT who can turn up regularly every week to help us train our junior cadets, e.g. in Rescue and practical sessions. We are really lacking in this area since 2010.

6. Campcraft assessments and submission of national crime prevention project in August. Sec 1 cadets can be promoted to LC once they have passed Total Defence (Bronze), Fire Safety, Footdrill (Bronze) and Campcraft. First Aid will be assessed on 29 November at Changkat Changi Secondary School.

7. Unit Camp dates: 28 to 30 Nov. Venue: CCSS. This is for Sec 1 to 3 cadets.
Reminder: Precision Drill Competition will be held on 19 Nov. There will be intensive training sessions during the Nov holiday. We will try to include some Sec 4 students after their national exams.

Important announcement: Approval must be obtained from Capt Lim before you can submit any receipt. The latest MOE financial procedure is that the teachers must fill up a pink form and give Mr Jega at least one week's notice and obtain his approval before we can purchase any items. The highlighted words are "OBTAIN APPROVAL FIRST BEFORE PURCHASING ANY ITEMS". Out of good will, Capt Lim is paying for the wastepaper basket and other things based on two July receipts received recently.
