HFS Ambassador Animation Competition 2009

Ministry of Home of Affairs - Community Engagement Directorate, Home Team Eastern Sector, Marine Parade NPC, Bedok South NPC and Geylang NPC will be organising a Homefront Security Ambassador Animation Competition Camp from 29th October to 1st November 2009. Venue: SCDF 3rd Divisional HQ to National Community Leadership Institute (NACLI) of 533 Yishun industrial Park A #01-01. Singapore 768774.

This programme aims to exploit into the popular medium of animation to engage students in expressing their awareness and knowledge on Homefront Security and Community Engagement Programme. Through the creation of their own animation story within the theme, these young ambassadors are allowed to express their notion and take ownership in their work.

The campaign is designed with three key objectives, which are as follows:

a) Creating awareness in school on the importance of Homefront Security and Community Engagement Programme

b) Creating a positive buzz around Homefront security and Community Engagement Programme messaging among students

c) Providing a ground-up approach to allow students to express their own notions on Homefront Security and Community Engagement Programme creatively through animation.

In effect, the camp aims to enhance the student leaders in their leadership, creativity and event management skills, in addition to introduce and challenge them to think about what they can do in their capacity to address Homefront Security and Community Engagement issues in their school.
