LATEST NEWS IN BOLD

Year 2 cadets will not be visiting any fire station on 14 July. Year 1 cadets will be brought to Alexandra Fire Station by Ma'am Chang. All cadets are to assemble in No. 4 uniform on 14 July at the foyer at 2.30 p.m., including the MPNDP participants. LTA Mahdi from Tampines FS (Div 2) is no longer our Rota Commander. He is replaced by Capt Dennis Ng who is attached to Clementi FS (Div 1). Capt Lim has written in to HQ to find out why there was a change in Division.

NCC teacher-in-charge has arranged for an internal combined GOH training for the three UGs on 14, 21 and 30 July. Please assemble at the foyer in long 4 and beret at 2.30 p.m. You will be excused if you have a valid reason for being late (e.g. Sec 3 structured lessons). As Capt Lim has Sec 4 structured lesson from 2.15 to 5 p.m. on 14 July and will find a teacher to help look after her cadets. HQ AFI Saleem and Sofian will train MPNDP participants on 14 July from 2.45 p.m. onwards. SCLT Natasha and CLT Asyura were asked to attend a 2-hour sword drill training by Mr Choo Kum Seng, a retired WO, on 16 July evening. Ma'am Chang who will be accompanying Hasna, Jade and Yvette to participate in Inter-Unit Quiz at HTA will collect a sword belt for SCLT Natasha, No. 1 trousers with loop belt for CLT Asyura and exchange the two brown pace sticks to black ones on 22 July. Cadets will use the gloves provided by HQ or MPNDP organisers.

Since the MPNDP organisers requested for one of the UDIs to be a conducting warrant, the other UDI will be the reserve conducting warrant. Thus, Capt Lim has to ask SGT Yingxuan and SGT Anisa to be additonal reserves. CEB hours will be given to MPNDP participants, presenters during LS assembly talk on Emergency Preparedness, Service Day (9 hours) and Emergency Preparedness Day.

Capt Lim wants the MPNDP participants to inform her by texting their measurements to her if they are on MC on 13 July. The NCDCC contingent is in the middle of the first row (between NCC and SJAB cadets) and selected cadets will stand in front facing the audience.

Food and drinks will be provided on 10, 17, 25 July and 1 August. Capt Lim wants MPNDP participants to assemble in school foyer at 1 p.m. on 25 July and 1 August in No. 1 uniform. After the water mist guns, swords and pace sticks have been collected from the store room, the cadets will report to Ngee Ann PS as a group. Once they have cleared the security check and have been sanitised, they will not be allowed to leave Ngee Ann PS. After the full dress rehearsal and the actual event, the cadets must return to KC NCDCC store room to keep the items that were on loan from HQ. They must pass their 9 gold buttons, 2 gold collar pins with crest and epaulettes to Capt Lim for safekeeping on 1 August night. The cadets must wash and iron the No. 1 uniform as well as return the No. 1 uniform to Capt Lim by 4 August. Capt Lim will be on duty on 1 August to take photographs and to keep the cadets' belongings. Since each CCA group is given 14 MPNDP tickets, Capt Lim will sell 1 to 2 tickets per cadet on 21 July.

Footdrill (B) assessment for Year 1 cadets on 21 July (full u and beret)
and Campcraft assessment for Year 1 cadets on 28 July. (half u and jockey cap)
Visit to Heritage Gallery for Year 2 cadets is postponed to August (full u and beret) and we will have CCA phototaking on 21 July at 1.45 p.m. (full u and beret). Please leave your classroom at 1.30 p.m. to change into your smart 4. Alternatively, you can change into No. 4 uniform during your recess time.

Capt Lim will bring SNCO Felicia Ong who has planned the camp programme to meet Capt Gerard and his SNCOs at CCSS on 30 July afternoon to discuss about the combined camp. Felicia suggested that we should meet once a month to check on the progress made by SNCOs who have been assigned certain tasks. SCLT Natasha has promised us that she will turn up for the camp in the evening. The other 3 CLTs will also be invited. CCSS cadets will join us for day-time activities and campfire. During the combined camp, we will conduct Sec 1 swearing-in ceremony and promotion of SSGs. Capt Lim is thinking of inviting another school e.g. Bowen SS to witness the swearing-in ceremony as part of UOPA requirement. Capt Lim does not allow cadets to exchange handphone numbers with cadets from other schools during the camp.

There is a need to start preparing our Year 1 cadets for the school's NDP. Ma Lynn Koh requires 19 cadets for school's NDP. We can include our Year 1 cadets and non-MPNDP participants. The combined NDP rehearsals will be conducted on 4 and 5 August in school from 3 to 5 p.m. The actual parade will be held on 6 August. Consent forms will not be issued for additional training sessions because they are held in KC. It should be safe.

Six cadets are participating in NYAA (Silver). They are Laurel, Nerin, Tifflin, Yingxuan, Karthi and Elizabeth. Is any cadet interested to participate in Sabah OBS? It costs $1100 but you only need to pay $100.
